2019 Finds of the Year
In the majority of past years, the Finds of the Month contest did not offer prizes for monthly or yearly winners.
The reward for winning any monthly category was mostly to achieve friendly bragging rights. Occassionally,
some of the monthly winners had been recognized by national publications. To encourage additional folks to
provide entries in the monthly contest, and in lieu of some publications ceasing their printed distribution, the
club agreed to offer a grand prize for the "Find of the Year" in addition to a runner up, and a raffle draw
for several consolation prizes. Members did not need to be present at the January meeting to win.
During the January 2020 meeting, members voted (by ballot) for a grand prize winner and a first runner up.
Four additional consolation winners were determined by raffle draw. Every category winner from each
month during 2019 was assigned one ticket. In total, there were 98 entries from the 9 meetings in 2019.
