Finds of the Year

Historically, the Finds of the Month and annual Finds of the Year contests did not offer any prizes.   The reward for winning was mainly to achieve friendly bragging rights.   Occassionally, some of the monthly winners had been recognized by national publications.   In the past, a Find of the Year contest was only provided on occassion, and various Favorite Finds were acknowledged on this page from time to time. With an increase in the variety of interesting finds during recent years, the number of monthly categories was expanded to the extent that a second Finds of the Month display case was added.   To further encourage members to enter their finds into the monthly contest, and in lieu of some publications ceasing their printed distribution, during the December 2018 meeting, the club agreed to offer a grand prize for the 2019 "Find of the Year" in addition to a runner up, and a raffle draw for several consolation prizes.   The recognition was well received, and the annual contest has been renewed for the calendar year 2020.   Good luck to all, and Happy Hunting!
